An Investigation of the Relationship Between Research-Based Math Intervention Strategies and Achievement of Students At-Risk for Mathematics Difficulties Paper Format:APA No. of pages:2 Instructions:Assignment:

Synthesize Research Articles Instructions For this assignment, find a minimum of three new research articles within the last year that support your research topic. Use the research matrix to complete your assignment. Fill in the research matrix with the corresponding information from the articles (it should already include the previous 13 plus articles from earlier weeks in the course) in this synthesis exercise. Use the matrix to detect/identify commonalities in the ideas of the authors. Following the chart, write a four-page scholarly analysis of your findings. These sections should begin as the basis for the central part of your review. Your instructor is currently reviewing your topic introduction. This assignment should flow from your last week’s submission. The first step is to open an MS Word document and use the outline you submitted last week as a start for your writing. Using a single article and the mapping from last week to the outline, map this article to the topic and sub-topic with which it corresponds. For each area that the article maps you should include this information (Article 1 – name, year, method, population, copy exactly into paper verbatim what about this article is relevant to this topic or sub-topic and also include why you included this article (why is it important to this paper)). This is your analysis. Be sure to paraphrase the information relevant from the article in this section. Repeat the mapping of the different parts of Article 1 into the different topics and sub-topics to which it relates until the article is exhausted. You may need to add topics/sub-topics as needed. Add this article to your reference list. For the next article, repeat the same process until the article is exhausted and mapped to the various sections to which it relates. Document and explain why you placed the additional article in the same section if there is another article in the same section of the outline; also note whether the information agrees with/disagrees with/similar to/argues the previous article(s). Repeat this analysis process until the article is exhausted. Add topic sections, as needed. Add to references. Once you have mapped about three to four of your articles go back and then begin to tie the information together using your notes as a guide. This will help you bring the paper together for these topics. Your arguments will develop as you continue this process. You will merely need to pull them together. Remember, this is a maximum four-page paper, using a minimum of six articles from your matrix, for your analysis and synthesis of the central part of your topic. This section should be a lead from the introduction you submitted previously. You should have received feedback on your Week 8 assignment. Select a minimum of six articles from your matrix. Page count does not include title or references. Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your paper should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
