When looking for jobs, the number one thing that potential employees look straight for is the job description. Before you apply for a job, you want to know exactly what you are applying for and what you are going to be doing, as well as get an idea of what you are applying for and how you can fit in to this organization just based on the job description, without knowing anything else about the position. Why is this important, because you can compare what exactly you hired someone to do and compare that to the work that they are completing right now. This is a tool that gets done to the minimum tasks that are asked upon from the job description. This not only helps the employee but also management as well. “A good appraisal system also aids management, giving practice leaders the information needed for management decisions such as staff development, job structuring and promotions, workload distribution, and compensation” (Gesme & Wiseman, 2011). What is the most difficult part can be leadership buy in, if the employees do not support the leaders in place, it can be difficult to manage all employees and performance.
