I am Lucy Rivera, MSN, RN, currently serving as the Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor at Ro Health, where I have worked for the past year and five months. My role entails developing and supervising all facility nursing services and ensuring compliance and consistency in policies, standards, and procedures. I supervise and guide all facility nursing services and related support services to guarantee resource support for integrated sanitary, medical, and health services. As a Registered Nurse Critical Care, I induce sedation and provide respiratory support to promote comfortable surgical environments, record vital signs, and assist with procedures. Also, I am a professional educator at the California School Nurses Organization to explain the clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a sexually-transmitted infection (STI), which is drastically relevant due to its rising infection rates to the general population (Romano et al., 2023). This presentation will target school nurses and provide STI screening and management, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches and practical strategies for delivery in school-based health settings.

Previously, I worked as a Critical Care Nurse at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital for three years, ensuring the delivery of appropriate patient care due to my in-depth knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in challenging scenarios. Also, I worked as a critical care registered nurse at Envision Healthcare, where I provided nursing care and respiratory support during the execution of diagnostic procedures to assure patient wellbeing and comfort. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Cal State University. I am also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified.
