My desired career field is nursing. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing program to become a registered nurse (RN). Nurses are important stakeholders in the healthcare setting. They collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare practitioners to provide individualized holistic care. When registered nurses further their education levels to a Master’s degree, they become advanced practice registered nurses (APRN). As an RN, I will be involved in history taking, examination, safe medication administration, patient education, and care coordination. I am intrigued by various facts about PCH and the Mayo Clinic. PCH is among the top ten largest hospitals dedicated to providing holistic pediatric services in the USA. Furthermore, PCH has six centers with more than one thousand specialists (PhoenixChildrens.org, n.d.). I would like to work for PCH to grow and develop my career and to perpetuate the delivery of quality pediatric services. Mayo Clinic is considered among the top healthcare facilities in the USA that provide quality healthcare services (MayoClinic.org, n.d.). Also, the Mayo Clinic embraces inclusivity to provide culturally congruent healthcare services. The clinic is dedicated to public education via research and offering medical courses (MayoClinic.org, n.d.). I would like to work for Mayo Clinic to grow and develop my career and to provide culturally sensitive nursing services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required by Job Position
The position of an RN at Mayo Clinic’s infusion center requires various skills and qualifications. The RN should have a minimum experience of six months in the relevant setting. Furthermore, good communication skills, flexibility, computer literacy, adaptability, teamwork, and critical thinking are required (MayoClinic.org, n.d.). Applicants for the clinical nurse position at PCH should demonstrate good communication skills, the ability to collaborate, accountability, critical thinking, and be pediatric specialists (PhoenixChildrens.org, n.d.). I will need to graduate and become and practice at an infusion center for at least six months to qualify for the job at Mayo Clinic. Additionally, I will improve my computer literacy skills. I will be required to become an RN and specialize in pediatrics to qualify for the job at PCH.

A resume highlights an individual’s job experience and achievements, whereas a cover letter addresses an individual’s short-term and long-term objectives.
