The first referral would be to a child therapist. Naomi has gone through many things she may have not fully processed like her dad being in jail her mom’s work schedule and the recent news of her parents getting divorced. These things are probably why she’s acting out and being aggressive. A child psychologist can provide one-on-one therapy sessions, like CBT or DBT to help Naomi deal with her feelings, recognize behavior patterns, and learn ways to cope (Ghosh et al., 2017). The therapy will also help address her aggression issues improving how she handles emotions while boosting her communication skills.
