Effective Multidimensional Nursing Practice when Providing Care for Clients Experiencing Immunologic, Infectious, and Inflammatory Disorders
I achieved the competency for safe and multidimensional nursing care for clients with inflammatory, infectious, and immunologic disorders through a discussion on rheumatoid arthritis. The discussion covered more on the risk factors for rheumatoid arthritis, the pathophysiology, skeletal manifestations, systemic manifestations, and treatment. I gained more about the treatment modalities for rheumatoid arthritis and appreciated the role of surgical intervention for clients with correctable deformities. The knowledge acquired in this competency would enable me to identify a client with features of rheumatoid arthritis and also to make decisions regarding treatment.
