Managed care organization: It is a health insurance system of delivering low cost treatment for the patients or clients by coordinating with health care providers and medical facilities. This mainly TO provide better utilization of care at low cost to the beneficiaries.

Accountable care: They are group of caregivers like doctors , hospitals and other team members who coordinate and come together to provide low cost high quality,effective treatment to patients voluntarily and prevents unnecessary cost of treatment and save time.

Similarities:a) Both aim in providing low cost effective treatment to the clients.

b)Both needs coordination of different types of health members or facilities.

Differences: a) Accountable care is more of a non binding nature which means the patients are free to choose their doctors even if they are members of any beneficiaries whereas the latter has patients assigned to doctors and has no freedom to choose.

B)AOC targets on improving care overall and MC aims in cutting costs of treatment.
