In essence, it depicts that incivility in healthcare can cause adverse conditions in the work environment. For instance, the quality of patient care provided by the nurses will be poor, and the conditions of work will be unsafe. Additionally, there will be a significant increase in medical costs. As such, there is the need to incorporate effective strategies aimed at fostering civility in the workplace, and promote essential skills in nursing education to enhance relationships between patients and the health personnel (Clark et al. 2011).
