Migraine.  There is a positive family history of migraines. Migraines typically present with recurrent, moderate to severe headaches accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and often affect one side of the head.

  • Diagnostic procedures: Imaging studies- Given the clinical presentation and suspected underlying causes, imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT) scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the head may be ordered to rule out structural abnormalities, tumors or other conditions that could be causing the persistent headache.

I would also recommend NSAIDs like ibuprofen, which can provide relief for mild to moderate headaches.
