Lifestyle and habits are phenomena that shape and are also shaped by oneself. Journaling and tracking every detail of what you eat, drink, and bite to support a culture of forming positive eating habits. After peeping into the past seven day pecking behaviors, I could see the impact of tracking my eating habits across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. According to the journal, I can conclude that I am not a healthy eater but have the potential to become one. I eat a lot of rice and less vegetables and fruits. Consequently, I am at a higher risk of submerging into weight loss and related complications. When it comes to becoming a healthier consumer, there are many things that I can do. These encompass establishing mental competency regarding healthy feeding habits that promotes eating quality and quantity foodstuffs (Daniel et al., 2019). My food journal evidences that I should substitute white rice with brown rice, which is rich in fiber, to reduce the rate of metabolism. Being a sushi enthusiast, I also need to swap the sushi for sashimi. I should also replace the carbonated drinks with pure drinks. This means that instead of taking two cans of coke daily, I can take one or pay the price during one of the days (Rheinfrank et al., 2021).

With regards to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet, eating habits in the new normal have to be inclusive of healthy meals. With the pandemic Celsius, hotels need to embrace healthier alternatives. In the five days I have evaluated in the journal, I have realized that there are no healthy options at all. In this regard, I have also come to understand that I should embrace the culture of cooking since consuming the wrong food cannot be attributed to the threshold diet expenses. In the end, the journals have been very important in helping me to appreciate that I need to consider what I eat, my habits, and the benefits of cooking myself at home rather than eating at a dining hall.

This week's lecture provided crucial insights into healthy diet practices. As such, I have learned that being a healthy eater entails understanding the within-which constituents are put (Beagan, 2015). Food tracking has been revealed to be a valuable science that is associated with processes such as the analysis of foodtypes and their traits. Each meal I eat is an assembly of knowledge, trust, and economy. The knowledge section entails an awareness that I am not eating enough and must do something about it. This behooves me to ensure that I get enough protein, vitamins, and carbohydrates in my diet by considering healthy eating practices. For example, instead of consuming snacks and junk food, I should incorporate fruits and vegetables into my diet. The trust dynamic is that I should learn to trust my abilities in making the right choices for my diet so that I can benefit my body in different ways. It also entails considering food sources to gain trust in their viability. I should also consider the economy of choice, whereby it is important for me to consider the costs of unhealthy eating habits in my diet. Integrating fruits, vegetables, balanced meals, as well as cooking at home, can have significant savings for me in terms of diet expenses.
