Introduction to CapraTek

The increase in division of work expectations within different generations has led to various challenges. One key challenge is the loss of employees, with differing reasons for turnover based on generational factors. This has resulted in more money being spent on hiring new employees, often without a clear understanding of potential retention strategies.

Objectives

The objectives of this project include the establishment of goals for an engagement survey, defining each generation, and discussing the necessary tools, time, and budget needed to complete the project. A plan will also be created to initiate the project successfully.

Boomers – Gen X – Millennials – Gen Z

This project will consider the generational birth years as defined by Michal Dimock (2019). Understanding the characteristics of each generation is crucial for addressing engagement and retention challenges.

Engagement Issues

Engagement issues need to be defined from both the employees’ and managers’ perspectives. The purpose of gathering engagement data from employees will be outlined to ensure that all viewpoints are considered.

Goals

The primary goal is to understand the reasons behind employee turnover. The data collected from the engagement survey will be used to encourage employee engagement, which will ultimately lead to improved organizational performance. Building an engaged workforce through better leadership practices is another key objective.

How This Data Will Be Used

The data collected from the engagement survey will be used to address the previously identified issues. Major companies have successfully used similar data to make improvements, and these examples will be related to CapraTek’s goals of employee engagement and retention.

Common Process

The process will involve selecting the right engagement tool and using a pulse survey to gather important feedback from employees. This will be directly related to the overall goal of improving employee engagement.

Budget and Time Requirements

An estimate of costs based on various survey platforms will be provided. Time estimates for getting the platform up and running will also be included. Pulse surveys will be sent out every quarter for one year, allowing enough time to gather substantial data for significant changes, while also making small adjustments along the way.

Resources Needed

The resources needed for this project will include both employee and management input, as this collaboration will be key to achieving the goals. The plan will begin with identifying where to start and ensuring that all actions are aligned with the overall goal of improving employee engagement.

Conclusion

A clear understanding of each generation’s needs and wants has been developed, but additional data will help address current issues more effectively. By implementing the suggested survey platforms and encouraging employee involvement, participation will increase. The goals of employee engagement and retention can be met if these steps are carefully followed.
