If your population includes any members of vulnerable or protected populations, explain the justification for including these populations and provide the contextual factors associated with this group of participants. These populations include, but not limited to, children, relatives of the researcher, individuals with physical or developmental disabilities, pregnant women, prisoners, residents of a facility such as a nursing home or group home, individuals with mental or emotional disabilities,
Title I district. They are representative of the Bilingual students on my campus and in my district. The different
instructional strategies and activities are aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, therefore will not
exclude any particapants in my classroom. This action research study is voluntary and will not affect the grades of the
particpants. I have created a safe learning environment for my students and will review expectations prior to the
action research study.
Students will be informed prior to the instructional module that the action research will take place. I will explain
to them that the pre- and post- assessment wil not affect their grade in any way. Participation will be completely
voluntary. The instructional strategies provided in the module, will not harm the students mentally or physically in
any way. The students’ well-being will remain my top priority throughout the action research study.
One student in has Dsylexia and is on a 504 plan. Student will receive appropriate accommodations to assure that
their needs are met and no harm is done
