Implementation Plan for Adoption of Telemedicine at Tenet Healthcare Budget for Expected Costs and Earnings over the First Five Years

According to Scott Kruse et al. (2016), the total cost of adopting telemedicine relies on the basic features of the telemedicine framework, the number of integrations, and the size of the team involved in the telemedicine system. The main assumptions that we will base our budget on are that the telemedicine system will include a large team because it will be adopted in all Tenet Healthcare organization’s facilities, training will be required to familiarize staff on how to use the system, telemedicine features will be integrated into medical services in the healthcare facilities and legal aid will be necessary to comply with telemedicine regulations in different regions.

Another assumption is that the license fees will remain the same over the five years, and legal fees, training costs, support on mobile devices cost, equipment costs, and features integration will reduce over the next five years. We will also assume that earnings will increase over the next five years because the telemedicine system is expected to improve healthcare quality and enable healthcare facilities to attend to many patients per day. We also assume that our facilities will uphold all telemedicine compliance requirements to avoid fines and other unnecessary legal fees. We also assume that there will be no economic downturn within the next five years. The proposed budget and earnings over the first five years are indicated below.

 Implementation Plan

The timeline for adopting telemedicine in Tenet Healthcare Organization’s facilities across the United States is three months. The hospital will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the initiative is implemented successfully and sustained. To begin with, the success of the telemedicine framework will be tested using volunteer patients in different healthcare facilities. Next, five volunteers will be selected from each region, and their opinions will be collected through questionnaires and Zoom interviews. Questionnaires will be distributed among healthcare providers in the various health facilities to get their opinions on the effectiveness of the proposed telemedicine framework and recommended areas of improvement. In addition, the organization will consult government representatives in the healthcare sector in different regions through its lawyers to understand the compliance requirements that it needs to meet. Ethical principles will be upheld to ensure that the rollout is conducted in a culturally equitable and ethical manner.

To begin with, Tenet will engage qualified IT experts to install antiviruses and firewalls to uphold patient privacy
