In 125-150 words, explain ethics and where the knowledge of right and wrong comes from.

 

Ethics are the principles of wrong and right that guide our behaviors (Bogue & Hogan, 2022). It helps us make moral decisions and act morally. The knowledge of right and wrong can come from many sources. It can come from the Bible in texts that guide Christian ethical principles. From the Bible, what is right and wrong is clearly defined. The definitions of right and wrong are also clearly provided within the social and cultural contexts in which we exist. The knowledge of wrong and right can be learned from the various philosophical views on ethics, such as utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, and ethical relativism. Knowledge of right and wrong can also be gained from learning and legal institutions and texts such as the constitution and regulations.

The purpose of my life has been driven by empathy and a need to serve others. It has led me to have a career in healthcare. I believe my purpose is to care for those in pain and suffering to help them manage the conditions that cause them pain and suffering. My purpose is also to help others heal and overcome their inability to enjoy life due to health-related barriers to enjoying the wholeness of life. I also feel that my purpose is to give voice to those who are voiceless within the healthcare system and society in matters of health. Moreover, I am determined to advocate for patients and communities in a way that helps them get better healthcare
