Literature Search Concerning Telehealth-Based Nursing Intervention

Literature Search Concerning Telehealth-Based Nursing Intervention

The use of the telehealth technologies including their benefits when it comes to the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is explored by various researchers. Alfuraydan and colleagues (2020), for instance, investigated the effectiveness of these technologies in terms of helping diagnose ADS. They conducted literature search, and reviewed the literature concerning the use of videoconferencing as a consultation tool.

They compared the face-to-face methods against the remote techniques. Based on this comparison, they found that remote assessment of the ASD was equally effective as direct assessment. The findings can be applied to patients with other conditions by having a providers use a teleconferencing platform to ask the patient or those close to the patient questions.

Conclusion

In conclusion, nursing educators can take advantage of the opportunities which came with the information age by knowing how to review the credibility of the information and recommending to patients the reliable resources. When reviewing a website, it is important to observe features such as the accuracy of the information and the design of the website. The way an instructor or a presenter would deliver content online is different from the way they would deliver the content using a face-to-face method. It is important that they take into account when choosing how they want to deliver the content of the presentation.
