The target population consists of veterans experiencing homelessness who have been referred to our transitional housing program. We only admit individuals over the age of 21 who are ambulatory, meaning they can move around independently. The program is inclusive of various gender identities, including male, female, transgender male to female, transgender female to male, agender, etc. Veterans with and without disabling conditions are accepted.

  The population of veterans experiencing homelessness is the primary group that participates in the transitional housing program, which is specifically designed for this population. The transitional housing model aims to provide services that increase the likelihood of veterans securing permanent housing upon program completion. Some veterans admitted to the program have disabling conditions, such as mental health issues, substance and alcohol abuse, and chronic health conditions. Analyzing the number of veterans with disabling conditions would allow us to better advocate for targeted funding to create programs that address these conditions and support the transition to permanent housing.
