NURS 6053 Discussion: Workplace Environment Assessment Sample Solution 1 Workplace Environment Assessment
Every organization that aspires towards growth and improvement in all spheres should consider workplace environment assessment to be healthy and important. The assessment aids the company in understanding its assets and liabilities. To create a better working environment for the employees and better services for the clients, they can therefore plan how to address the weaknesses in the company. Six criteria have been established by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses as being crucial to maintaining a healthy workplace (Clark, 2019). The specified criteria include effective decision-making, sincere teamwork, proper personnel, good communication, and genuine leadership. The established norms aid in fostering a civil and healthy workplace. For this discussion, workplace civility and a healthy work environment were determined using the Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory. Workplace Environment Assessment Findings According to the evaluation results, my workplace had an overall score of 80 out of 100. This shows that my workplace is generally in good health. A workplace is considered "moderately healthy" if it receives a score of 80-89 on the Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory (Clark & Ritter, 2018). This indicates that although my place of employment has put a lot of effort into fostering a positive workplace atmosphere that would allow its nursing staff to practice to the highest standards while feeling content with their work, there are still a few loose ends. According to the assessment results, the best qualities of my workplace were transparency, teamwork, and employee wellbeing, as well as staff satisfaction. My employer's management frequently emphasizes that each employee's health and wellbeing are crucial to providing patient care in line with the organization's purpose, vision, and values.
