This provision has had a positive impact on patient experiences by enhancing access to preventive services, early detection, and management of health conditions (Lantz & Rosenbaum, 2020). It has also contributed to improved health outcomes, as individuals can receive necessary care without financial barriers, ultimately leading to better health and well-being.
Additionally, policies related to reimbursement and payment models, such as value-based care initiatives, can have a profound impact on healthcare outcomes and patient experiences. These provisions tie reimbursement to quality and patient satisfaction, incentivizing healthcare providers to prioritize the patient experience (Feinberg et al., 2020). By doing so, they focus on delivering high-quality care that aligns with the needs and preferences of patients. This approach has led to better outcomes, as providers are encouraged to prevent complications, enhance communication, and promote a holistic approach to patient care (Feinberg et al., 2020).
