I’m Emogene, and I’m extremely grateful to have you as my audience for my Capstone project. In this research proposal, I will tell you about evidence-based intervention for Ms. Jackson’s Cancer treatment. Ms. Jackson is a 40 years old lady with a family history of Cancer as her mother and also her sister went through the same Cancer disease and died. Now along with Cancer disease, she is also suffering from other diseases like blood pressure, anxiety, depression, and pulse fluctuations because of the worries about treatment costs and also Safety and the best quality treatment so she needs more support and attention. Cancer is considered to be a fatal disease if it is not diagnosed in the initial stages or if not to be given proper treatment (Stewart et al., 2019). Moreover, in this article, After spending three hours in (Villa Hospital) with Ms.Jackson in October 2022, I provide her with all the details about Cancer Stages like the initial or malignant stages, and also guide her that the safety precautions and routine checkups are necessary to get a healthy lifestyle (Hu et al., 2018). Cancer is a problem for Ms.Jackson because she has a family history of Cancer and she is worried about her treatment and survival.

Moreover, she also needs the latest technologies like Telehealth to get treated even while remaining at home. In addition to this one of the major aspect that every patient have to focus on is Self-management because if you want a healthy lifestyle and proper recovery then focus on your diet, stay motivated and be active. I also give her education about not worrying about the cost of treatment as insurance policies can reduce the overall cost of treatment (Adriaans et al., 2021).

Contribution of Intervention on Patient Satisfaction and Quality of Life

Various interventions are made to provide good quality of life to Cancer Patients. Patients need good quality treatment and to provide that a doctor or a nurse must understand the patient’s mental state Cancer patients were gone through much depression and anxiety along with good treatment they also need attention and moral support. World Health Organization (WHO) provide an estimated report in 2018 and according to that report approximately 18 million new patients are diagnosed with Cancer around the globe and in between them 9.6 million patients died due to Cancer (Marquart et al., 2018). The ratio of Cancer patients around the globe between the Advance stage (metastatic) or initial stage (curable) is 66%: 55%. More than 50% of patients took full treatment and recovered soon. It is estimated that of 100 patient’s around the globe, five to ten have a genetic history of Cancer but along with genetic history, most the old age people above 50 or 60 are diagnosed with Cancer so evidence also gives proof that another factor of Cancer is old age (Haslam & Prasad, 2019). Multiple strategies or interventions are designed to help Cancer patients with a speedy recovery.
