the benefits and strategies to mitigate the challenges of interdisciplinary collaboration to plan care within the context of a remote team.

I have noticed that remote collaboration for mental healthcare delivery is beneficial in that it helps overcome geographical and location barriers, as well as financial and transport barriers, hence improving access to quality and comprehensive care from multiple experts. It also allows the remote team and the patient to be flexible and support decision-making from multiple perspectives. However, it faces the challenge brought about by the lack of face-to-face interactions, which support more open and in-depth communication necessary to develop meaningful therapeutic connections. Some stakeholders may lack digital literacy, which may affect the implementation of remote care using telehealth services. To mitigate these challenges, I propose that healthcare professionals maintain their professionalism, provide the patient with undivided attention, and be readily available whenever the patient needs them. Additionally, basic training is essential as it will help understand how to use telehealth technologies and improve the care delivery and access experience in remote teams.

recap

As I conclude, here is a recap of the main points the presentation focused on: barriers in accessing mental healthcare for patients living in rural and remote regions, the application of evidence-based approaches to overcome these barriers and challenges, including the use of telehealth services, and using telehealth services to provide patient-centered care in remote settings.

Thank you.
