Before implementing a new informatics system there are many steps that takes place in order to ensure implantation can be carried out in the most appropriate ways. A change in a current informatics system or implementing a new system can be a long process. The first step in implantation would be forming an implantation committee. “A project leader is identifies & and team of hospital staff is selected to support the project as a working committee.” (Handbook of informatics for nurses and healthcare professionals, n.d). Ideally a project leader would be a nurse leader, considering they can have the most interaction & communication with not only staff member but understand patient care as well.
