We’ll write everything from scratch Question EBP as an Essential Component of the Practice of BSN-Prepared RNs Discuss why EBP is an essential component of the practice of a BSN-prepared RN. EBP as an Essential Component of the Practice of BSN-Prepared RNs
Evidence-based practice (EBP) is a significant component of the practice of a registered nurse. To begin with, it enables nurses to integrate current evidence with their expertise to develop effective healthcare plans. Also, EBP enables nurses to keep up with advances in the medical field. For instance, EBP will enable nurses to leverage technological advances to optimize healthcare. Consistently, I will adopt two strategies to ensure that EBP is upheld in practice. The first strategy is participating in activities that promote continuous learning (Pitsillidou et al., 2021). This will entail completing programs that promote continuous professional development and participating in multidisciplinary discussion forums. Secondly, I will establish a research training initiative for all clinicians involved in patient care (Pitsillidou et al., 2021). Further, potential barriers to implementing and sustaining EBP include inadequate resources and limited knowledge and skills (Pitsillidou et al., 2021). To promote adequate resource allocation, I will work in concert with stakeholders such as administrators and human resource managers and inform them about the significance of EBP to the organization. Also, the research training initiative will improve clinicians’ knowledge and skills.
