Connecting with Mr. S.T. professionally creates and presents new opportunities for me to grow and succeed both in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse. I selected Mr. S.T. to be a part of my academic and professional network as he is already an established mental healthcare practitioner in the private sector. He has gained a lot of experience in the field, and I expect to learn a lot from him in both private client management and in growing my personal brand in mental healthcare. I have selected Randi Norby as an individual who will much support my success in the MSN programs and as a practicing nurse because I believe her experience and education in nursing and mental health make her an appropriate mentor. Ms. Randi Norby has almost three decades of experience as a nurse, a clinician, and a mental health professional. She is well experienced in mental health, especially in children and adolescents, a field I am interested in. Her overall experience and knowledge in the nursing and mental health fields make her an excellent mentor I will link up with throughout my academic and practice journey. In-service nurse mentoring is evidently both beneficial to the mentor and the mentee and creates opportunities to improve the skills and roles of the nurse in practice (Hoover et al., 2020). Therefore, through a professional connection with Ms. Randi Norby, I expect my overall skills and knowledge, both academically and in practice, to improve.

I believe my success in the MSN programs and as a practicing nurse will require professional and academic assistance and networking. Dr. Barbara Peterson is an individual I choose to guide and support me in my learning and practice. I selected Dr. Barbara Peterson as she presents what I aim to achieve. Although she is a professor from a different university, she still presents as an individual I will look up to throughout my learning and professional life. Dr. Barbara Peterson is a Certified Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry and also holds a Ph.D. in mental health with research interests in child and adolescent mental health which is applicable in nursing education and practice. She also holds various awards in mental health. I believe that there is a lot to learn from her experience, both in her professional and academic capacities.
